BOSTON-The Boston Redevelopment Authority approves expansion plans for the Newbry, the retail and office complex at 501 Boylston St. in the Back Bay. The renovation involves doubling the building's current retail space from one floor to two for a total of 112,000 sf.

NEW YORK CITY-Vornado picks up another retail site here with its $40 million acquisition of the free-standing 25 West 14th St. Last month, the REIT picked up a shopping center on Staten Island.
