VIENNA, VA-The White Oak Tower Building gets a new owner and a new future. Trimark Corp. recently purchased the 52,700-sf office structure and will submit the property to a $3 million redevelopment that will convert it to an office/medical condominium facility.

ROCKVILLE, MD-In a deal valued at a reported $22.3 million, Wells Real Estate Investment Trust takes ownership of Shady Grove V. The 108,000-sf office facility is fully occupied by the federal government and marks Wells REIT's third purchase in the Shady Grove Executive Center.
WASHINGTON, DC-Financing to the tune of $7.8 million closes for Hawthorn Suites Herndon, a 104-room hotel located just four miles from Washington Dulles International Airport. The permanent fixed-rate loan refinances an existing interim loan on the four-story, six-year-old property.
FAIRFAX, VA-In an $11.6-million transaction, Rosenthal Properties LLC and Elm Street Holdings LLC jointly acquire the Pickett Road Portfolio, a four-building industrial/flex property off Route 50. The 109,000-sf grouping is fully occupied by 20 tenants, including Inova Health System.
ANNAPOLIS, MD-Officials of the Anne Arundel Medical Center will expand the hospital with the addition of a nine-story building containing 69 private and acute care rooms, as well as other service areas. Work on the $200-million project could begin in 2007.
