WASHINGTON, DC-What can $200 million buy in the District and surrounding metropolitan areas? A top-of-the line retail portfolio totaling 460,000 sf. Grosvenor is forking over the funds to a handful of Starwood Urban LLC subsidiaries in exchange for the 15-property portfolio, which also includes a hotel and some office space.

Konterra will give a portion of one of its properties to the County, which will create a parking lot on the space, and Konterra will take over a county-owned parcel for its own.
BETHESDA, MD-First Potomac Realty engages in a few big business deals with the acquisition of five flex and industrial properties in Northern Virginia in Suburban Maryland for a total of $92.3 million. In addition to the purchases, the REIT has plans to sell one of its buildings for $8.5 million.
WASHINGTON, DC-The staff of the National Association of Realtors is now officially settled into its new digs in the new 93,000-sf tower at 500 New Jersey Ave. NAR's new home is expected to receive certification as a "green" building, acknowledging the property as a facility featuring superior environmentally friendly elements.
RESTON, VA-In a recent deal valued at nearly $7.7 million, ownership of Lake Anne Professional Building changes hands. The 46,000-sf office property, which sits just outside Reston Town Center, is fully leased to the Fairfax County government under a long-term agreement.
