ARLINGTON, VA-Three years after having acquired the Ellipse in a $42-million deal, New Boston Fund sells the nearly 200,000-sf office building to Chicago-based Miller Global Properties LLC. Today the 15-year-old property is assessed at a value of $43.6 million.

ARLINGTON, VA-Vornado Realty Trust becomes full owner of the Crystal City Marriott in a $21.5 million deal. The Paramus, NJ-based REIT takes the 343-room hotel off the hands of a limited partnership, part of which is owned by two Vornado trustees.

HAMPTON, VA-A new tenant joins the roster at the 76,000-sf Pinewood Plaza. Defense contractor Royce Information Systems takes on 2,500 sf of space at the office property, becoming neighbors with the likes of Northrop Grumman and the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.

GERMANTOWN, MD-Summers ahead will prove to be a little cooler for Montgomery County area residents now that work is underway for the development of a new 60,000-sf swim facility at the South Germantown Recreational Park. The Indoor Aquatic Center will cost about $16 million to complete.
