WASHINGTON, DC-Members of the US House of Representatives pass a compromise version of terrorism insurance legislation, calling for a federal backstop of up to $90 billion in coverage of terrorism-related losses every year for the next three years. The decision comes after months of conference committee meetings to hash out a joint congressional version of the bill.
BALTIMORE, MD-A project is in the table to build a hotel and office building on the city-owned parcel near the Convention Center. In a joint proposal, Quadrangle and RLJ are planning the 750-room hotel, while Catholic Relief Services is planning its 200,000-sf HQ.
