ODESSA - An exchange buyer turned 1031 proceeds into a recently built Family Dollar store, grabbing the 8,000-sf property just five days after it went on the market. The sale is just one of several Family Dollar stores up for grabs in the Fort Worth area.
FORT WORTH-A Railhead industrial building will be transformed into a tortilla factory under a long-term lease arrangement for 101,893 sf of space. The deal brought the property, a portion of which has remained vacant for about a year, to full occupancy,
DALLAS-The state's newest player in the banking game has turned up the heat on the competition with plans to open at least eight new branches in the metro area in the coming months. Alabama-based Regions Bank, which moved into the state about 18 months ago, has already opened 10 branches and even more are planned for the future.

TEMPE - An industrial building that shares a five-acre Tempe site has gone to a local investor who plans to lease the property to a gift product business. The former owner, LGE Design, recently sold a second building on the same site where it had once planned a business park.
DALLAS-Tenants signed long-term leases in three Dallas area communities to fill 35,000 sf of space at plazas in Euless, Carrollton and Lewisville. Whataburger, Asel Art Supply, Up in Smoke and Uptown Girl Fashion Imports will open in the plazas soon.
PHOENIX-Michael Pollack looked beyond the antiquated style and saw "a phenomenal" location when he picked up the El Monte Shopping Center in the city for $7.4 million. Pollack, known as "the plastic surgeon of real estate," plans a future facelift for the property to give it a more modern feel.
