CASA GRANDE, AZ-MJW Investments of Los Angeles buys the 315,835-sf, partially leased facility and 50 undeveloped acres from a Chicago seller, who's had the property on the market for two years.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-The investment banker goes from sublease to direct lease for the class A office space at 14500 N. Northsight Blvd. The firm signed a three-year extension at $23 per sf to seal a deal with a $150,000 payout.

SURPRISE, AZ-Attesa Corp. spends $1.8 million for 7.5 acres to build a hotel, as yet without a flag, and about 200,000 sf of retail to cater to Surprise's new economic driver, spring training season. The hotel is expected to be ready for the 2004 season.

PHOENIX-The California seller gives the nod to a Phoenix couple, who offered hands-on management along with 1031 Exchange capital rather than take an offer from one of the several California buyers who made a run at the multifamily deal.
