LOS ANGELES-The office vacancy rates in local markets "appear to have stabilized," according to Cushman & Wakefield's newest report. Overall vacancy is 17.9% versus 18.1% from three months ago. Equally good news is rent rose by 84 cents per sf.
ANAHEIM, CA-The 281.5-million-sf inventory remains about 9.28% vacant, nearly identical to the first quarter. The triple-net lease rate of 52 cents per sf remained flat in the quarter-to-quarter analysis and down 15% from midyear 2002.
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA-Angels Hair Inc., a distributor of hair products including wigs, moves into 38,880 sf of industrial space, with a mezzanine office component, in a relocation from within Santa Fe Springs.
SANTA ANA, CA-The warehousing firm inks a direct deal after subleasing its corporate headquarters and main operations hub for four years. The new deal, which kicks in Dec. 1, has a five-year term for the 129,000-sf building at 3731 W. Warner Ave.
PALM SPRINGS, CA-The lender that foreclosed turns over the 166-room resort to Marcus & Millichap hospitality specialists to find a buyer for the leasehold interest in Downtown Palm Springs.
VENTURA, CA-FNC Medical Corp., a maker of antibacterial soaps and lotions, sets up the assembly line in a 35,609-sf industrial building near its headquarters. The firm's Leland Investments takes the deed to 6000 Leland St. from a private investor.
