HOUSTON-The Greenwood Corp., a prominent Houston residential developer, is gearing up for a 300-unit condominium project in the city's northwest corridor. The 800,000-sf project's backyard will overlook Raveneaux Country Club.

SAN ANTONIO-An affiliate of Troy, MI-based Hayman Co. has arranged financing for three San Antonio apartment properties, sealing mortgages totaling about $16.5 million. The transactions take the company over the $100-million mark for this year.

AUSTIN-The Texas Growth Fund, one of the largest and most active private equity investors in the Southwest, has acquired Kerrville-based Qualified Metal Fabricators Inc.

BEAUMONT, TX-CBL & Associates Properties will purchase 21 malls, including Parkdale Mall in Beaumont, from the Richard E. Jacobs Group for $1.2 billion. The Parkdale Mall, with 150 stores, is one of the largest retail spots in southeast Texas.

ARLINGTON, TX-A three-year-old high-tech operation is moving its corporate offices and manufacturing facilities to 15,000 sf at 2001 E. Randol Mill Rd. The company, which started in a back yard, has simply outgrown its 3,000-sf building in Ft. Worth. The move will enable a doubling of the workforce.
