ROYAL OAK, MI-A payday advance company says it plans to open 30 locations in Michigan throughout the next two years. The company also plans to open some 1,800 Advantage Cash Advance units in 36 United States where payday loans are legislated.

DETROIT-Four redevelopment projects in the city will each receive $100,000 under the state's Cool Cities program. A total of 29 projects are designated as part of the Cool Cities program, but only 13 projects around the state receive funding.
SOUTHFIELD, MI-Auto supplier Lear Corp. is making plans to close five plants and relocate work to less expensive locations. Lear says it will announce which plants will close in its July 29 earnings statement.
LATHRUP VILLAGE, MI-Work starts on Michigan First Credit Union's new headquarters. The 60,000-sf facility includes 12 drive-thru lanes, four drive-thru ATMs and leasable space for a restaurant.
DETROIT-The Karmanos Cancer Institute is looking for areas it can serve through an expansion. The health center cites an existing facility in Farmington Hills as an example of how the center hopes to grow.
