PHOENIX-A Los Angeles investor grabs his second Walgreens site in metro Phoenix. The 14,280-sf retail site at 5626 E. Thomas Rd. in Phoenix brings $2.3 million for its Florida seller, Robert Schmidt.

HOUSTON-Assess Net signs a 4,050-sf lease that puts an 89,660-sf flex building along the North Loop East at 93.3% occupancy. The Austin-based firm selects a 26-year-old building in North Houston for its first location in the city.

HOUSTON-Lend Lease is following its plan to buy, enhance and sell. The 363 North Belt office building in North Houston hits the sales block after three years of Lend Lease ownership. The 386,277-sf holding in North Houston is 86% occupied.

HOUSTON-Share sales net $302 million last year and an exchange yesterday brings another $10 million, all of which will be applied to debt reduction for the REIT. It's been a year of positioning to beef up presence in the south, earnings and revenue.

PHOENIX-The 125-attorney Lewis and Roca firm decides to stay put after three years of studying the market, including Camelback Corridor and Midtown. The firm signs a 10-year lease for Two Renaissance Tower in the Phoenix CBD.

HOUSTON-The suburban submarkets come to the rescue as CBD occupancy plummets 12.32 points in one quarter. The CBD dips to 85.08% whereas citywide occupancy is down just 0.24 of a point to 93.26%, the second highest level in eight years.
