BLOOMINGTON, MN-The 1,800-sf store is the first of three planned for the continental US. The chain, which appeals to girls and young women, has three stores in Hawaii.
MINNEAPOLIS-The express mail business invested $3 million in the new regional sort center, which will enable DHL to provide overnight service to Minnesota and parts of Iowa and Wisconsin. The new center is one of seven being added as part of a $1.2-billion expansion.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN-The company recently closed out a $8.5 million private stock offering that generated an additional $6.6 million in proceeds. Granite City had previously completed the initial closing of this private placement, yielding gross proceeds of about $1.9 million, in September.
MINNEAPOLIS-Multifamily units account for 54.5% of the 1,837 units planned in September, but year-to-date account for 48.1% of total units, according to the Builders Association of the Twin Cities.
MINNEAPOLIS-Omaha-based AmeriSphere Multifamily Finance, which specializes in Fannie Mae mortgage products, will become an affiliate of NorthMarq, the commercial real estate investment banking firm with 28 offices nationwide. AmeriSphere will remain independent and Rodrigo Lopez will stay on as chief executive.
BURNSVILLE, MN-The retail complex will be anchored by a Cub Foods store and will be part of an urban redevelopment project called Heart of the City, which includes 240 multifamily units.
ST. CLOUD, MN-In addition to a store here, three in Wisconsin and one each in Michigan, California and Oregon also have been remodeled. The new designs are more contemporary, warm and dynamic with a "less clinical, more residential environment," ShopKo officials say.
EAGAN, MN-The National Testing Lab here is one of four that the American Red Cross will close across the country. The lab was unable to perform some sophisticated tests and blood had to be sent to other centers.
BLOOMINGTON, MN-The grocery is part of United Properties' $35-million mixed-use redevelopment project. Applewood Pointe would also have an 11,000-sf retail building and a 125-unit residential complex.
