MIAMI-Businesses have downsized or closed offices in a market hit by 60,188 sf of negative absorption, according to C&W's first quarter office report for Palm Beach County. And while some submarkets experienced steady leasing activity, others saw vacancies soar.
MIAMI-A Chicago-based private investor is asking $11.25 million, or $87,890 per unit, for the South Miami Beach properties, which have a total of 128 units. The properties are near each other, and have undergone more than $1.6 million in renovations in the past year.
MIAMI-The $27 million in preferred equity and construction financing will be for the site acquisition and development of Cypress Legends, a 332-unit luxury apartment community planned for Fort Myers, FL.
MIAMI-The separation of the Fort Lauderdale-based company would take place through a tax-free spin-off, and Levitt Corp. would become a separate publicly traded company. Depending on certain conditions, the company expects the separation to transpire by the fourth quarter.

MIAMI-The company, doing business as Roepnack Corp., paid approximately $74.20 per sf for the 28,300-sf, multi-tenant Whispering Corporate Plaza in Pompano Beach, FL. Roepnack Corp. will relocate its headquarters there.
MIAMI-RK Causeway Plaza LLC bought The Causeway Plaza from Causeway Plaza Inc. for $14.85 million, and RK Biscayne Plaza LLC bought the Biscayne 162 Plaza from Biscayne 162 Corp. for $3 million.
MIAMI-Jason Howe was hired as development manager, and Douette Pryce joins the company as assistant development manager. The hires reflect continued growth in the Fort Lauderdale company's real estate development.
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL-Theodora Argyropoulos of Basil Oil Co. Inc. bought the retail plaza from Intuition Consolidated Group Inc. The 22,100-sf plaza, located here at 600 S. Federal Highway, is about 95% occupied.
