WATERTOWN, MA-A deal is finally reached between Harvard University and the town over the Cambridge-based school's purchase of the Arsenal on the Charles, a 30-acre commercial office center. The town was furious when the university acquired the site because it was counting on the tax dollars.
MARLBOROUGH, MA-The 3Com campus, the 600,000-sf property that has been on and off the market for the past year, is close to being sold. A local industry expert tells GlobeSt.com that the Berwind Group wants to acquire the property and is close to signing an anchor tenant.

BOSTON-A final agreement is reached in the joint purchase of the Konover shopping center portfolio by Edens & Avant and Samuels & Associates. The 36 centers are located throughout the Northeast in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New England with four of the centers located in this state.
BOSTON-The city's zoning commission wants the 8-acre Chestnut Hill Waterworks site developed but its vision clashes with that of a local activist group. The commission voted to approve the parcel's rezoning but the group will most likely appeal the decision.
NATICK, MA-If General Growth Properties has its way the Natick Mall is about to grow. The Chicago-based developer made a formal presentation to the town's planning board outlining its plans to expand the 1.6-million sf mall.
MIDDLETON, RI-Barnes & Noble signs a lease agreement for a 23,520-sf store in Middleton Square on 1305 West Main Rd. The store will be the bookseller's third in the state.
CAMBRIDGE, MA-In a deal that further establishes the city as a biotech center, Novartis AG, the Basil, Switzerland-based pharmaceutical giant, leases the 500,000-sf New England Confectionary Co. building on Massachusetts Avenue with an option to buy.
