SPRINGFIELD, MA-A developer of real estate for biotechnology manufacturing, development and research wants to build a biotech manufacturing park in the western part of the state.

WOBURN, MA-The Woburn Mall, the city's largest mall, could get even bigger if the city approves a special permit to allow its owner, Koffler/GID Woburn Development LLC, to add 31,000 sf to the 267,000-sf center.

NEWTON, MA-Hospitality Properties Trust says Prime Hospitality Corp. failed to pay rent on 24 AmeriSuites Hotels, which are leased to a subsidiary of Prime, located in 14 states. Hospitality Properties Trust says Prime owes nearly two million dollars.

BOSTON-The controversial Columbus Center Project got a huge boost after state environmental officials gave their seal of approval for the $400 million project that will rise above the Massachusetts Turnpike.

BOSTON-Kensington Investment Co. files its development plan with the city for a 336-unit residential complex in the heart of the city near Washington and LeGrange streets. The 30-story project exceeds the city's 155-foot maximum height requirement.
