NEWARK-In the latest twist in the saga of building a new Downtown sports venue for the NBA Nets and NHL Devils, their owner has drawn a line in the sand, and expects the project to get done.

LONG BRANCH, NJ-This long-ailing summer resort town is finally seeing the light at the end of the economic tunnel as Applied Development signs on to redevelop a key piece of oceanfront property.

NORTH BERGEN, NJ-Retail will dominate the project, with site acquisition expected to begin within the next year and completion slated for mid-2003. Tax benefit to this township could reach the $800,000 mark.

MORRIS TWP., NJ-JGT arranges the deal for property owner MetLife. The new tenant will occupy all of the second floor and part of the third floor of the building.

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ-The online realtor will link up with several of the Internet giant's local and regional portals and benefit from city-specific distribution across the Garden State.

FRANKLIN TWP, NJ-The long-term fixed-rate package is set by Poole & Co. for Illva Saranno Corp.-owned property. A trio of insurance companies is the major tenant group at the class A office building.

EDISON, NJ-Driessen Services expands with a new distribution site near Newark International Airport. A broker team from NAI James E. Hanson, Inc arranged the transaction. A number of sites were examined before selecting this one.

TRENTON-DiFrancesco shepherded the bill, which benefits "S" corporations, through the legislature with former Gov. Whitman's support, and in his new role gets to sign it into law. More tax cuts said to be on the way.
