DETROIT-ZF Packages totaling $8.5 million help ZF Technologies LLC and AxleTech International build facilities that are expected to result in 854 jobs for Michigan workers. ZF's research and development facility in Northville Township will cost nearly $28 million.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI-Taubman Centers is transferring investments in Web sites MerchantWired and Fashionmall.com to cash after interest in the pages collapses. The company expects to receive more than $3.1 million, but will take charges in second quarter.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI-The state provides 10% of the cost of a $28-million residential and retail development being built on the site owned by a 117-year-old seating manufacturer.

DETROIT-The city ranks near the bottom among 57 Downtown office markets, with a local broker blaming mergers and the economy. It's a different story, however, in the suburbs.

OAK PARK, MI-The state is offering a 73-acre contaminated site with a 110,000-sf manufacturing building for sale at a minimum bid of $3.7 million. It was once slated for a retail development until the state pulled the property off the market.

DETROIT-The city claims victory when a judge says the bidding process was wrong, but not enough to redo a Detroit deal that created three casinos in city. A new deal for permanent sites is due July 31.

DETROIT-MDOT plans to show the public the environmental impact of an 840-acre train and truck terminal project at a hearing Thursday. The Detroit Intermodal Freight Terminal would border the suburb of Dearborn.

SOUTHFIELD, MI-AMC Southfield is torn down with city money, as developers are building new condominiums and restaurants around a renovated hospital. Other developments are in the works around the site.
