CLEVELAND-The hotel REIT blames the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on drop in occupancy for its expected suspension of the fourth-quarter dividend. Boykin already had met its minimum distribution requirements to retain REIT status.

DETROIT-Finished proposals will tell whether a 32-story, 77-year-old Downtown landmark hotel will either receive a full exterior and interior renovation, or the wrecking ball.

BINGHAM FARMS, MI-The retail REIT is paying out 25 cents per share compared to 42 1/2 cents per share last year. The company is also selling three properties to assist with debt and lawsuit expenses.

SOUTHFIELD, MI-The shopping center REIT is paying a fourth quarter dividend of 42 cents per share on Jan. 15 to holders of record on Dec. 31, 2001.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI-The national shopping center developer and former chairman Of Sotheby's Auction House faces a maximum jail term of three years and a fine of $350,000. Taubman, 76, is expected to appeal the verdict before his April sentencing date.

LYON TOWNSHIP, MI-Two west-Oakland County developers want to fill 189 acres with 35,000-sf industrial buildings and expensive homes, all to the tune of about $97 million.

TROY, MI-The new outpatient building will join a sister facility on the city site and will house an ambulatory surgery center and medical offices. The construction cost wasn't disclosed.

DETROIT-The outgoing mayor steps in as chairman and equity owner of locally based law firm Dickinson Wright PLLC on Jan. 1. Archer will be remembered for bringing many new projects to Downtown.
