SAN JOSE-At its recent annual meeting in San Francisco, the 45-year-old family-owned brokerage firm made several announcements, foremost of which is that the company has joined the CORE Network.

SAN JOSE-The test and measurement equipment maker says it has unloaded a piece of the 125 acres surrounding its headquarters. Shares of Agilent fells 12% Tuesday on news of significantly reduced earnings estimates.

SAN JOSE-In the office market, where vacancy at year's end was at 1.85% (compared to 3.72% at the end of 1999), demand is expected to remain strong. Of the 5 million sf of space under construction, nearly 85% is already spoken for.

SAN RAMON, CA-Sunset Development's Bishop Ranch Business Park is home to over 300 companies spread over 14 complexes and including over 9 million sf of office space on 585 acres.

SAN JOSE-Supply chain management software maker WhereNet is leasing 20,000 sf and Velio Communications is quadrupling its space to 50,000 sf. Both companies are expanding to accommodate employee growth in response to business growth.
