The addition of G&P increases NFI's footprint to more than 300 locations throughout North America, employing more than 12,600 associates. The purchase of G&P further deepens NFI's industry expertise throughout diverse industries such as automotive, tires, retail and textiles.
The property was purchased by Chicago-based Draper and Kramer through a 1031 exchange following the firm's sale of Prairie Shores, a 1,675-unit, multi-building apartment community in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood.
Long Ridge is located on 1,660 acres and includes a 485 MW power plant currently under development, nearly 300 acres of available flat land, two barge docks on the Ohio River, a unit train capable loop track and direct truck access to Ohio Route 7.
The 135,000-square-foot facility is located at 53500 Grand River Ave. A total of 35,000 square feet of the new facility is dedicated to office space and the remaining 100,000 square feet is designated for manufacturing and warehouse workspaces.
The law firm will relocate its operations currently housed at 222 South Riverside to the entire 15th floor at 300 S. Wacker. Its lease term at the office tower begins in September 2020.
The future tower, which will open in 2022, will feature more than 1.4 million square feet of office space and will serve as BMO Financials' corporate headquarters.
"This portfolio offered the opportunity to buy a critical mass of medical assets with exposure to some of the top health systems in the country, including Advocate Aurora Health, Einstein Health and INOVA Health System," said Chris Bodnar, vice chairman of Capital Markets for CBRE.
