Raleigh, NC-based Preiss and a private real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital have closed on the purchase of the 694-bed Luxx student housing complex that serves the University of Texas San Antonio.

The deal marks the 14th hotel property sold by the McLean, VA-based REIT in the past year as part of its ongoing program of recycling non-core assets.

The deal adds to Brookfield's portfolio in Boston that includes 13 office and life science properties totaling more than 3 million square feet and six multifamily properties.

The REIT has entered into an agreement with Arizona State University to develop a Research & Innovation Center.

Sears' real estate sales are expected to generate $200 million a year for the next three years.

'Pattison Place' marks the next phase of development adjacent to Xfinity Live! and the home venues of Philadelphia's professional sports franchises.

“Space utilization and efficiencies are important to all industrial tenants today as they focus on increasing profits in a competitive market,” says Avison Young's Todd Heine, who helped Fleetwood reduce its overall space with the new lease.

The 112,980-square-foot facility will house 829 climate-controlled storage units ranging from 25 to 300 square feet along with office space.
