The Union Square Hospitality Group's restaurant will serve as an anchor tenant at Brookfield Properties' expansive, mixed-use development.

The flexible workspace provider will occupy 51,000 square feet at 229 W. 43rd St.

Cheskel Schwimmer received the financing for the mixed-use project from S3 Capital Partners.

The project will be located on the southeast edge of the SF State campus and is expected to be completed in 2020. The 584-bed, mixed-use community will feature fully furnished apartment-style units with private and shared accommodations.

The Woodbury, MN-headquartered company says the expansion will nearly double its current presence in the state.
