The brokerage firm reports that Susan Tjarksen, Todd Stofflet and Jason Stevens joined C&W as managing directors on Oct. 1 and are now based in the firm's office at 225 West Wacker Drive.

“This sale is the latest in a series of transactions in East Birmingham that have resulted in heavy value-add campaigns,” said C&W's Josh Jacobs.

The Norfolk-VA-based firm acquired the property in 2005 for $141.25 million.

TH Real Estate, an affiliate of TIAA, provided debt financing of $110 million, which was arranged jointly by the New York City and Washington, DC offices of CBRE Capital Markets.

The $258 million financing package was negotiated by Shaya Ackerman, left, and senior vice president Shaya Sonnenschein of Meridian.

"The Locks interacts with the local architecture and land plan to create an exceptional sense of place, and an exciting homeownership opportunity," says Resmark's Alexandra Johns.

The $81 million sale includes 502 apartment units in metro Atlanta.  

Duncan at the session said that one of the reasons Westchester is attractive to the firm is that there has been approximately six million square feet of outdated office space taken off the market in the last 10 years or so.
