CHICAGO-Besides being headed for landmark designation, an eight-story building at Madison Street and Western Avenue has a new owner who intends to redevelop it for retail and affordable multifamily rental use.

TAMPA, FL-The Columbus, OH-based REIT signs a $153 million contract with American Freeholds to acquire the 1.06-million-sf WestShore Plaza, one of the largest shopping centers in Central Florida.

FLEMINGTON, NJ-Binswanger/CBB arranged the transaction, which moved the facility from Nacco Materials Handling into the portfolio of Garden Commercial Properties.

BEAVERTON, OR-The 103,000-sf building is located across the street from a traditional Home Depot. According to plans submitted to the City of Beaverton, Home Depot would fill three-quarters of the building with the Northwest's first Expo Design Center.
