BUENA PARK, CA-In a deal between two sets of private individuals, the Melrose Manor Apartments at 7200 Melrose St. change hands in 1031 Exchanges for both the buyers and the sellers. The 1970-era complex was fully leased at closing.
SAN DIEGO-The affiliate of Goldman, Sachs & Co. purchases the 114,000-sf office facility from Janez Properties. Currently 100% leased, the building is occupied by tenants such as Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP and Prudential California Realty.
DALLAS-A Dallas partnership, led by two well-known Dallas names, acquires a hard corner, with a 42,000-sf building, at Harry Hines Boulevard and Empire Central. A 13,000-sf lease is in hand to push occupancy to 100%.

TACOMA, WA-UW Tacoma spent $1.55 million to buy the 12,000-sf Pinkerton building in 2001 and spent another $3 million to transform into the headquarters of its Institute of Technology. A $41-million conversion of five industrial buildings into classroom space is next on the university's Tacoma agenda.
ATLANTA-Although Atlanta city council has given the green light for an 18-story hotel, office, retail and condo-apartment site in the affluent suburb, Lane Investment and Development Corp. and Buckhead Land Trust say the market is not yet ready for the project.
CHATSWORTH, CA-Investor AKA Properties Group buys the 124,518-sf building at 21350 Lassen St. from Cabot Industrial Properties LP. Built in the 1970s, the building's last tenant was the Dream Works SKG movie studio.
CLINTON, NJ-The permanent funding was obtained by an affiliate of National Realty & Development in a transaction arranged by Cronheim Mortgage. The complex totals 256,000 sf and is co-anchored by a ShopRite supermarket.
