OAKLAND, CA-The office vacancy rate Downtown stood at 4% in 2000. In 2001, it climbed to 11.6%. Now BT Commercial's latest statistics show that there is a 15.5% vacancy rate in Downtown Oakland, and rental rates have fallen to about $2 per sf.
HOUSTON-The Montrose Clinic takes 8,915 sf in midtown for a second location while Redwood Chemicals makes plans to slide into a 1,129-sf office in a sublease at San Felipe Plaza in the Galleria submarket.
