SAN JOSE-The City of San Jose broke ground this week on a new 555,000-sf City Hall. The 18-story tower designed by award-winning architect Richard Meier will be ready for occupancy in 2005.

SAN ANTONIO-Paul Roberson wins the honor from the Washington, DC-based National Association of Installation Developers. Under his leadership, the decommissioned base now has 50 tenants and 12,500 jobs.

PHILADELPHIA-The data service firm's expansion takes the 100,000-sf building, one of two at the center in Media, PA, to 90.3% occupancy. Terms are undisclosed, but area brokers confirm to GlobeSt.com that the average asking rate is approximately $26.70 per sf.

MIAMI-Construction on the 562,000-sf Metropica project, being built on 39.8 acres at a hard construction cost of $285 per sf, is scheduled to start in December on several structures that will house office, retail and residential in Sunrise, FL, 20 miles north of Downtown Miami.
