NEWPORT NEWS, VA-Construction of plumbing supplies distributor Ferguson Enterprise Inc.'s new $20.5-million, 150,000-sf headquarters is under way. Completion of the five-story building is anticipated for the end of 2002.

BOSTON-Haircolorxpress International, a salon franchise chain based in Fort Lauderdale signs a development agent contract with Haircolorxpress Development of Massachusetts Inc. The agents have committed to opening 90 area salons over the next eight years.
