FREDERICKSBURG, TX-The town of Fredericksburg, a favorite with Hill Country tourists, breaks ground on an 8,000-sf building to tout its many attractions. The idea is to provide a showcase to encourage longer stays.

ORLANDO-The vacation rentals and timeshare booking service is adding 498 condominium units to its management/marketing portfolio with the signing of Maesbury Homes Inc.'s 116 rental condos on Lake Davenport. The value of the contract wasn't disclosed.

DENVER-Despite a sales volume 35% lower than 2000, the average price per unit for class A sales involving 50 or more units that closed in 2001 rises 8.5% to $79,066. Prices for smaller developments rise 16.7% to $57,899.

TRENTON, NJ-Local officials hope the full-service facility, along with a successful minor league baseball stadium, a revamped amphitheater and other new attractions will all add up to a real rebirth for this long-distressed capital city.
