SAN FRANCISCO-Candlestick Park is in need of a new corporate sponsor, as the naming rights leases between the city, the 49ers and 3Com are due to expire next month.

TUSTIN, CA-Makena Capital has acquired a .54-acre parcel here and plans to build a 6,800-sf retail complex on it. Starbucks Coffee and Subway have already been secured as tenants for the facility, which is scheduled for an April 2002 completion.

NEW YORK CITY-Less than an hour after the final papers were signed, a development dream team led by Governor George Pataki unveiled the design for the 1.5million-sf New York Times headquarters soon to tower over Eighth Avenue.

SEATTLE-Locally-based Crista Ministries has sold the Alderbrook Inn, an 88-year-old resort on Hood Canal, to North Forty Lodging, also a Seattle company. The non-profit Christian organization had owned the Inn for the past three years.
