AUSTIN-Colliers Oxford's first-quarter report says the fix is in for the Austin market, leveling the playing field between owner and tenant. More space is keeping a lid on rent, which has spiked 16% in the past year.

ORLANDO-The locally based retail REIT posted first-quarter net earnings of $11.6 million or 38 cents per share compared to $8.6 million or 28 cents per share in the comparable 2000 period. FFO of $10.9 million or 36 cents per share, however, was down from $11.2 million or 37 cents a share in the same period last year.

ORLANDO-PricewaterhouseCoopers and Venture One report 18 first-quarter transactions totaling $104.9 million compared to 16 deals valued at $178.9 million in fourth quarter 2000. But total dollars invested in Florida for 2000 doubled 1999 volume.

LONDON - Swedish furniture giant Ikea has secured two more UK sites, in Sheffield and Southampton, as part of its strategy of tripling its UK chain to 30 stores.
