CORAL GABLES, FL-The Rouse Co., known for its innovative retail ventures, is becoming more of a player in South Florida mixed-use development. One such project is breaking ground by year end in this Miami suburb. Another, planned for nearby Kendall, FL, is in the initial approval stages.

SAN JOSE, CA-If the $1 billion project is approved tonight, as expected, it goes before the City Council on Oct. 24. City officials have been highly in favor of the project, and it's no wonder. Cisco is the city's largest employer.

WHITE PLAINS-Two more lease deals with high-technology firms have been secured Downtown. The lease signings at 360 Hamilton Ave. bring the once troubled office building to 82%occupancy.
