Home2 Suites by Hilton recently announced its newest property and the first hotel built via modular construction in Bay Area history, the Home2 Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport North.

The bill introduced by the At-Large Councilwoman would require large non-residential buildings to confirm their status as high-performing facilities or to perform building improvements to save money and cut carbon pollution.

The transaction was funded by a New York City-based real estate hedge fund.

The seven-story, four-star hotel property will be called “The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh” and will include 219 guest rooms. The hotel will attach to the existing casino on the east facade, facing the Carnegie Science Center.
