The light industrial assets added to Colony's portfolio total approximately 7.7 million square feet in 48 buildings in nine markets. The properties are located across the US in Northern and Southern California, the State of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Illinois and Pennsylvania.

CEO Brett Landes says the company expects to close on 35 assets in the first quarter.

In an exclusive audio interview with GlobeSt.com, Michael Shover and Matthew Gorman, both senior vice presidents in the group, say “c-stores” and gas stations today are developers' first choice when acquiring strong locations, particularly at signalized traffic intersections.

They range from urban condos to a hard corner portfolio and dominant intersections, according to CEO Joey Agree.

Brad Lebovitz, managing director at Silverpeak, says the acquisitions introduce Silverpeak to edge markets where the firm sees limited supply.

The opportunity in many of the locations for a single-tenant net lease investment provides attractive long-term rental rates and built-in traffic patterns.
