Port of San Diego The Port is involved in several revitalization projects as urbanization becomes even more important to San Diego.

SAN DIEGO—From the Bay’s beautification project to the proposed Central Embarcadero development, the Port is gearing up to welcome development, Port of San Diego representative Marguerite Elicone tells GlobeSt.com. As we recently reported, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, a waterfront hotel, is undergoing a renovation project will enable the hotel to offer more than 280,000 square feet of meeting space, solidifying San Diego’s status as a destination spot for meetings and special events. Elicone told us exclusively what else the Port has to offer hoteliers and other businesses.

“There are many reasons that this area would be desirable for hotel owners and businesses,” Elicone says. “The most obvious would be the beautiful waterfront of San Diego Bay.”
