IRVINE, CA—Low-rise office buildings are more conducive to creating an indoor/outdoor environment than high-rises are, which makes Southern California ideal for this type of product, HFF senior managing director Ryan Gallagher tells GlobeSt.com. As we recently reported, Gallagher leads a team that recently closed the $44.8-million sale of Main & Redhill Business Center, a 15-building, low-rise office campus totaling 203,946 square feet here, representing the seller—a global real estate investment-management firm—and procuring the buyer, Olen Properties Corp. We spoke exclusively with Gallagher about the demand for low-rise office buildings in a market where density is becoming increasingly more popular.
