JBG Reveals Mixed-Use Plans for Rosslyn Parcels

ROSSLYN, VA—JBG Cos. must like working here. The District-based developer has contracts to buy lots for a mixed-use project in the eastern half of the 1700 block of North Moore Street, across from the local Metro station. The project will include two high-rise residential buildings along with two levels of retail, which would comprise at least 20,000 sf.

Although the site has up to 500,000 sf of development capacity, the firm has rejected an office component. “The site is very narrow and really doesn’t lend itself to an office development,” says Rob Stewart, JBG partner.

JBG is already active in the Arlington County submarket. It’s a partner with Steuart Investments in the 1801 N. Lynn St. office building, a 350,000-sf asset presently under construction, and with TrizecHahn in the planned Waterview project.
