TOPEKA, KS-Senne Co. is starting construction of a new office development just west of Westridge Mall here. The four-acre development, located at 6342 SW 21st St., will be called Westridge Business Park and house two low-rise office buildings.

The Topeka branch office of First Union Securities has signed a lease agreement to occupy 8,685 sf of office space in the first building to be constructed. Construction is expected to be completed by February 2002.

Phil Morse and Ken Schmanke with KS Commercial Real Estate Services negotiated the seven-year lease. KS Commercial will continue to handle new leases in the park under a cooperative agreement with Senne Co.

Gary Fleenor, senior vice president at First Union, says his bank liked the location because of its convenience for customers.
