New Jobs for Roberts, Webb at Jones Lang LaSalle

CHICAGO-Jones Lang LaSalle chief operating officer Peter C. Roberts becomes chief executive officer of the Americas Jan. 1, replacing Earl E. Webb, who will open 2003 as chief executive officer of the firm’s capital markets group. The real estate services and investment management firm recently reported a $10.2-million third-quarter profit, a turn-around from the same time in 2001 when Jones Lang LaSalle posted a $6.2-million loss while embarking on a round of layoffs.

The company views the Americas and capital markets groups as areas for growth in 2003.

“Earl will bring to the capital markets group the focus on superior client service, innovation, development of top talent and responsiveness to an ever changing business environment which were hallmarks of his tenure as Americas CEO,” says president and chief executive officer Christopher A. Peacock in a statement. “Likewise, Peter’s demonstrated leadership experience, combined with his financial and strategic expertise and his extensive background in both tenant representation and capital markets, uniquely equip him to guide the Americas business into the future.”

Roberts was named to the company’s board of directors last year.
