SAN DIEGO-An investment group has picked up an El Cajon residential asset in a $1.4-million sale that has occurred as part of a 1031 exchange.

The El Cajon asset, which encompasses a total of 10,264 sf, is located at 431 Van Houten. It is comprised of eight townhomes that contain three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths each.

Buyer Big Horn Investment Properties LLC has acquired the asset from seller Max Moyal, with Craig Rubin of Rubin & Associates representing both parties in the transaction.

Moyal has sold the townhomes and acquired another residential asset in El Cajon as part of a 1031 exchange transaction. The recent residential purchase, which was reported earlier this week on GlobeSt.com, involved the 36-unit Cameron Apartments complex on 346 S. Mollison Ave. Moyal bought the property from seller Cameron 36 LLC for $3 million.
