Water Street Mill Corp. Acquires 241,000-SF Industrial Facility

DUDLEY, MA-Water Street Mill Corp. purchased an industrial facility at 8 Mill St. from Interface Fabrics Group for nearly $1.1 million. The 241,000-sf building is the site of the former Stevens’ Linen facility. Jeff Borus of Glickman Real Estate represented Interface, the parent company of Toltec Fabrics, in the transaction while David Brasington, also of Glickman Real Estate, represented Water Street Mill. According to Spaulding & Slye Collier’s most recent statistics, the availability rate for industrial space in the Greater Boston area is nearly 23%. Most industry analysts note that demand for industrial space goes up in areas that are closer to the city and for space that has been modernized with air conditioning and higher ceilings. The average asking rent for industrial space in the Greater Boston area is about $6 per sf.
