CHICAGO-Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd. found their 110,000 sf at 10 S. Wacker Dr. in the Mercantile Exchange complex lacking. So the law firm has expanded its lease with Equity Office Properties Trust by 10%.

The 130-member law firm moved earlier this year from the south tower of the two-building, 1-million-sf complex to the top floors of the north tower, where it has added another 10,900 sf. Although terms were not disclosed, the largest US office REIT is asking $19 per sf for space at 10 S. Wacker Dr., including the upper floors.

Equis Corp. senior vice presidents Rob Salbego, Chris Wood and Kevin Duckler represented Sachnoff & Weaver on the original lease as well as the expansion. Equity Office Properties Trust’s C.J. Dempsey handled negotiations for his company.

Meanwhile, Equis Corp. handled a lease for its own account recently, taking 40,000 sf at 161 N. Clark St., two blocks south and across the Chicago River from its previous location in the former Quaker Oats building. Equity Office Properties Trust also owns 161 N. Clark St.
