The chain's representatives reiterated their proposalto improve roads to accommodate the increase in vehicletraffic.
Wal-Mart officials declined to offer more details on theproject, which would occupy a 20-acre parcel on Route 3 nearCronson Boulevard. Wal-Mart has just applied for a building permit.In the meantime, the council has vowed to continue to contest theendeavor. The store would be the fifth Wal-Mart locale in thecounty.
