DES MOINES-Principal Real Estate Investors, the real estateinvestment arm of Principal Global Investors, is launching a newhotel investment potential. Until now, the company's primary focushas been industrial warehouses, retail, office and multifamilyproperty sectors.
Steve Graves, managing director of real estate operations forPrincipal, tells GlobeSt.com that the move has less to do with therecent flurry of hotel transactions and more to do with clientdemand. "Were not getting into it because it's a really attractivething to do right now; this is more of a long-term strategic move,"Graves tells GlobeSt.com.
