KCI will occupy the entire build-to-suit building and will havean equity percentage of the ownership, according to William Whitty,senior vice president and principal with MacKenzie Commercial RealEstate Services in Baltimore. Whitty, and Mark Deering, senior vicepresident and principal, represented KCI.

936 Ridgebrook Dr. is located in the Highlands Corporate Center,an office park located off York Road. The master plan for thecenter calls for a three-building campus totaling 165,000 sf.

KCI, which will use 100,000 sf for office space and 20,000 sffor storage, will be moving to the new building in December 2008after 15 years at 10 North Park Dr. One reason for the move is itsneed to accommodate the anticipated growth from roughly 300 to morethan 400 employees at its headquarters over the next few years,according to a company release.
