Two medical office buildings with 80,562 square feet at Camp Creek Medical Center have been purchased by Scottsdale, AZ-based Healthcare Trust of America Inc. for $19.6 million, or $243 per square foot. The buildings, which are 97% leased, were developed by Ackerman & Co. in affiliation with South Fulton Medical Center, owned by Tenet Healthcare Corp. Justin Parsonnet and Lee Asher with CB Richard Ellis represented the sellers. HTA has also agreed to buy a 60,800-square-foot MOB near East Cooper Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC from Tenet for $10 million, or $164 per square foot.

Speakeasy LLC, a communications consulting firm, has leased 13,000 square feet in the new Phipps Tower office building. Jim Devaney of NAI Brannen Goddard represented the tenant; John Bell and Sara Smith of Crescent Resources represented landlord Manulife Financial.


Bealls Outlet has leased the 30,456-square-foot former Linens ‘n Things anchor space at Orlando Square shopping center. Jorge Rodriguez with CB Richard Ellis represented landlord Kitson & Partners in the long-term lease.

Tampa, FL

Aventura-based ESJ Capital Partners has obtained an $8.4-million first mortgage to acquire University Park, a 99,000-square-foot medical office park. Miami-based Biscayne Asset Management secured the five-year loan, which has a 6% fixed interest rate with 25-year amortization.

Augusta, GA

The 64-unit Avalon Apartments has received a $3.1-million Fannie Mae loan through Arbor Commercial Funding LLC. John Edwards with Arbor’s Boston office originated the 10-year loan, which amortizes on a 30-year schedule and carries a note rate of 6.15%.


Visit US Inc., a subsidiary of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, will move its headquarters to 3,000 square feet at the new One Park Square at Doral office building. Tere Blanca of Blanca Commercial Real Estate and Darryl Robinson of Oak Hill Advisors represented landlord Shoma Group.
