NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, UK-Capital Shopping Centres (CSC) hasannounced the submission of a planning application to renovateEldon Square's Northumberland Street entrance. The proposal alsoincludes the remodeling of two adjacent retail units andconstruction of an extended roof canopy atop the new entrance.
This submission comes on the heels of a GBP 22 millioninvestment plan announced by co-owners CSC and Newcastle CityCouncil in December 2011 to revamp Eldon Square, a1.35-million-square-foot shopping center housing 151 stores. Forthe full story, go to Europe Real Estate .
