ST. LOUIS-The Cortona, a 280-unit apartment complex, will beconstructed just south of Forest Park in the Highlands development.The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the five-story apartmentbuilding will include roughly 200 one-bedroom units and 80two-bedroom units.

The complex will also have a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse,outdoor kitchen and saltwater swimming pool. Steve Brown of BalkeBrown Transwestern is the developer and Dallas-based Humphreys& Partners is the architect. Financing for the project will beprovided by AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust.
