PHILADELPHIA-Developers will start construction on thefirst-of-its-kind LGBT-friendly affordable senior housing complexin Philadelphia on October 29, 2012. Pennrose Properties and Dr.Manus Hirschfeld Fund are the developers of the $19 million projectfinanced by federal, state and city funds. The six-story structureat 13th Street between Spruce and Locust streets will feature 56single bedroom units, multipurpose spaces, a roughly2,000-square-foot retail space and a 5,000-square-foot enclosedcourtyard.
