As one of the biggest commercial real estate markets in theworld, it's no surprise that Metro New York is also home to some ofthe most active dealmakers around. Recently, the editors of REALESTATE FORUM collected deal information from leasing and investmentbrokers across the metro area to come up with a roster of the mostprolific brokers in the market. This year's roster features the top15 brokers or brokerage teams who handle landlord and tenantrepresentation, followed by the top 15 most active investment salesbrokers or teams, listed in alphabetical order.

METHODOLOGY: Deal information is for commissionable transactions closed in Greater New York between August 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012, and all data shown has been supplied and verified by the companies themselves. Leasing brokers were given scores based on the total number of transactions they closed, the total square footage of all transactions and the total value of all transactions. The final score will be based on the average of the three fields. The investment sales brokers were scored on total number of transactions closed and total sales volume, with the final score based on the average of those two figures.
